About "About"
What curiosity brings readers to the "About" page? Do people click the "About" tab because they are bored and randomly clicking buttons? because they want to put a face to the words? because they want to find out how to look the author up on Facebook? because they are trying to figure out if the author is already spoken for? because they are looking for Waldo?

Since the possible range of topics that readers may desire to learn more About cannot be foreseen, the "About" page will proceed under the assumption that a few words about the author and the blog's content will suffice. However, for the aforementioned curious: explain yourself, [probably already clicked onward], see above and below, impossible, no, keep looking.

About the Author
Some blog bios are written in the third person. I'm not famous or wealthy enough to have other people writing bios for me, so there's no sense in making this awkwardly impersonal in an attempt to sound distantly objective. I'll give you the basic bullet-points that could be written by any anonymous biographer, then make it more personal.

I'm Jason...
...a Christian a sinner saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ for the glory of God, as revealed in the Scriptures
...a son hi mom and dad!
...a brother official tease to six
...an engineer official nerd to all
...a graduate student having little money but no time to spend it anyway
...and an Ohioan currently living in Minnesota either way, the summer is hot, the winter is cold, and the sports teams break the hearts of local fans

About the Blog
It's often said that a joke is ruined upon being explained. But since the title of the blog is not a joke, there should be no loss in elucidating.

Life is a journey, filled with both trials and joys, sometimes dark, sometimes breathtakingly beautiful. Life is often a journey in a literal sense, as we move between cities or states or even countries. Life is always a journey in a metaphorical sense, as we experience the adventures and conflicts that shape our character. This much could be said by anyone, regardless of faith in Christ. So how and why is the journey of the Christian life distinct from any other?

We are sojourners, not wanderers. While we often cannot even see over the crest of the next hill, the journey is neither aimless drifting nor a self-guided adventure tour. The end is not the end. The journey of the Christian life brings us to That Day.

Thus, the question guiding the content you will find here is this: what might be worth sharing along the Journey Til That Day? The following examples, while not meant to be exhaustive, should offer a picture of what readers will find.

Recounted Events
A person on a journey often keeps a log or a journal of events. I won't bore you with the daily details of my life, but some happenings along the way are worth sharing.

Scriptural Pondering
A person on a journey seeks to understand the map or the guidebook, and desires to share what he sees with others. The Word of God speaks to us and instructs our daily walk, and sometimes I'll share how I've been instructed. And sometimes readers (you) might help adjust my understanding.

Specific Commendations
A person on a journey looks for markers and guideposts that help to point him in the right direction. Guideposts don't replace the map. They help the journeyer understand its course more clearly. In the Christian life, books often serve this purpose. I enjoy reading, reviewing what I've read, and recommending it to others.

Simple Wonder
A person on a journey sometimes gets caught up in simple wonder at the incredible view. Life in the Creator's world is amazing, but I often need to slow down to realize it.

Eager Anticipation
A person on a journey can't help anticipating the day of arrival. That day.
